We are in desperate need of water in our valley! We are below 50% water and the water will be turned off at the end of July. We also got hit hard with aphids so we have had to spray. It's pretty fun watching the plan buzz over the house, early in the morning.

Camping: Lahontan Day 2
The kids were up bright and early! We had some yummy pancakes (fluffy blueberry wheat) and then suits were on and we were hitting the beach. The water is incredibly low this summer and not clear. But, we will take what we've got! Abe was smart and brought our atv along to launch the jet ski. The atv did get stuck, but Abe hooked the winch up to the truck and was able to pull it out. Good thing he has so many big boy toys! Unfortunately the jet ski wasn't running all that well and we got a ticket. Let's just say Abe wasn't clear on the rules for registration renewal on a jet ski. But who cares, we had a wonderful time!
Family picture attempt number 3...this was the best one!
Crew got an amazing picture of Abe and I! I think Crew is a natural- this was the first time he has ever used my huge camera!
Crew did not want to wear his swimming suit most of the time and insisted on wearing his jeans.

Camping: Lahontan
We finally got some camping in! It's about time!! Crew had spotted a toy at the store he really wanted to buy for the lake, so he counted out all his money and we made the special trip. Sawyer also did some extra chores to earn one as well. They were a hit!
We didn't get to the lake until later in the evening. It didn't take long for the boys to get dirty and for us to test out the cleaning capabilities of our camper. Sleeping was a little hard to come by but the boys eventually feel asleep while Abe and I enjoyed the stars.

ABC Schoo: Graduation Day at the Park
Crew has finished ABC school, and today we celebrated with a little party at the park. It was very low key with lots of playing, some snacks, and a quick handing-out of papers. Crew's participation and letter recognition really took off about half way through the year. He can recognize most letters and some of their sounds now. When we read he will point out his favorite letters and letters that our names begin with.

Cooper's Baptism
We were so excited to go and join the celebration of Cooper's baptism. He asked me to give a talk and I based it off of a talk called "Logan's Baptism." It went well and the whole day was very pleasant. Cooper is a very bright and active boy! In fact, Crew likes to pretend he is Cooper sometimes.
Callie's personality is really blossoming and she seemed to love to be around me when I was doing girly things. One morning, as I was getting ready, she was looking at my travel bag and all that it held. She would ask what certain items were, followed by a discussion. I asked Callie what she likes to do and she told me, "Play football. But my brothers' say I can't play football with them because I am a girl."
After Cooper's baptism we were all hanging out by the pool. I didn't bring my boys suits, but they were wading in their underwear and t-shirts. Sawyer had a watering can that he kept leaning over the edge to fill up. I had warned him that he needed to be more careful or he would fall in. Eventually he did. I didn't even see or hear him. Thank goodness he had fallen where it was shallow enough for him to stand up and get his head above the water. That is when I saw him. He looked like a wet cat and wasn't very happy. But, 10 minutes later he was filling up his watering can; much more carefully! And I was much more alert!
