I Love to See the Payson Temple

We started the morning right with some books and play. Later we headed out to the Payson temple open house. A movie on the way made the drive very quiet!
The temple is a very ornately decorated: grand staircases, stone, large molding, huge chandeliers; it was gorgeous. It was Crew and Sawyer's first experience going through a temple open house, and they were amazed.
Following the temple, we tried to take some pictures in the hot, bright sun, and then headed to Jake's new work place to get a tour. A multitude of snack options were a hit among the kids.
In order to give April a break from us, I took the kids to the park for awhile. We found a colony of ants, watched the ruby team practice, and played on the playground.

Visiting Best Friends

Being reunited with Owen, and me with Audra, was fabulous! We miss their family so much!! Richard was Abe's number one man, and they saw each other on a daily base. We keep trying to convince them to move back to Nevada permanently! The boys immediately started playing and when it was time to go, they were very sad. Owen is an awesome kid!

At one point during their play, things got a little quiet. We found them in master bedroom (the bed frame was being worked on in the garage), lounging in Audra and Richard's bed, watching a quick show. Every inch of the floor was also covered in all of the toys they had gotten out. When Owen noticed me taking a picture of them, he put his arms around the boys. Super cute.

These were posed by Owen. Nice!

It's a Wonderful Day In the Neighborhood

Yesterday we came to Utah. We stopped in at the Sones' home for a little bit to play, and then went to Jake and April's home for the rest of the evening. Today we had all morning to play until Dallin went to school. We spent it riding around too all of the parks. April, Dallin, and I walked. Alaura was pushed in the stroller, and the other kids rode their bikes. Maybe Dallin will have mustered the courage to master his big bike next time we see him. Instead Dallin was the collector of random items: twigs, leaves, feathers, roly polies. My kids were in heaven with the smooth trails and plentiful parks.

We headed back for home to pack a lunch and then we went to another park for a picnic, more play, and then we all rode with Dallin to school.
