Month 1

Steele has us all swooning and loving on him. Here is a large portion of what we have been doing, captured on my phone.

I was nursing Steele and had Sawyer prove that his room was clean with pictures. He did a decent job.

All three of our boys have now spent a few nights sleeping in our makeshift bassinet. They grow quickly enough that they are soon out of it, but it makes the initial transition easier.

Abe and I were chatting and planning late one night. We can hardly keep ourselves focused with such an angel so near!

We went for a walk and this is what Steele looked like after I took the Ergo off. Frozen in comfort.

He sleeps like a champ in the crack of the cushions and the A/C on.

He has the cutest swirl of a belly button.

First bath in a tub of water!

I bought the chevron fabric when Sawyer was 2 and we were dreaming of another baby. But that same year I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and I tucked away the fabric with my dreams. After Steele was born I pulled the fabric out and told my mom. She took the fabric home, found an adorable fox print to go with it, and made a soft minky throw to go over the chair in his room to keep us warm during night time feedings.

Steele's baby blessing day. With Abe gone it makes it a bit more challenging to get good pictures of everything going on, but my boys made sure to snap some pictures for me.

First smiles caught. They are very similar to Crew's first smiles.
