Post Christmas

 Crew has been enjoying his head lamp and lego books. It gave him a good boost for a desire to read.

 A lot of Abe's family came into town to do a surprise bathroom renovation on Carmen and Ernie's home while they were out of town. While they were here we did the mannequin challenge with the mannequins that Carmen has in her house along with all of the cousins and Darci and Abe. It was super hilarious and a lot of fun.

Christmas

 We stuck with tradition and fed the boys some oatmeal back in our room before we came out. Abe's parents soon showed up and there was a lot of excitement watching the boys. Abe and I had kept it pretty simple, as planned, until the last minute. Abe started pulling out gifts to wrap that he had just purchased. He loves Christmas and giving gifts. I can't blame him, it's fun to have so many exciting things.

There was one short pity party that can sometimes come with too much excitement, but it soon passed and it was a wonderful day. I felt slightly ill, but enjoyed sharing the joy and magic of the day. After eating brunch we went to church and enjoyed a Christmas program. Grandma Delva came during the day as well to receive some gifts and to see what the boys got.

Christmas Eve

We had a family party 2 nights before Christmas. I was asked to help with the nativity. The kids did a fantastic job!

Christmas Eve I wasn't feeling well and I had a headache. We finished as quickly as we could and went to bed, ready for the next day.

December

I love going into school to help and seeing Crew's work on the wall. That kid is super focused on farming. I swear we tell him he can be whatever he wants to be and give other choices, but he is set on the farm life. 

We also have been prepping for Chirstmas. With Abe so busy the boys and I have been doing most of it on our own. It's sad to not have him there, but we like to surprise him when he gets home.

It was exciting to get the train out and to put the angel that my mom made for us onto the tree.

Snow and the Ward Christmas Party

The boys had a lot of extra energy so I sent them outside to play. They worked on their shop that is made out of scraps of wood they have salvaged from around the farm and put on the cement patio. They also jumped and giggled in the snow until they were soaked. 

We had our ward Christmas party and the boys sang with the primary. One thing I am sad about is whenever my kids sing I am not able to see or here them because I am at the piano. From the pictures and video Abe took, they look like they did a great job. 

Mustache has gotten super fluffy and came out for a moment to see what I was doing outside. She wasn't interested in being wet so she was soon back in the shop.

Sawyer did not want to sit on Santa's lap, but Crew was excited and on a mission; even if it made him a little uncomfortable!
