Boys Will Be Boys

I can't remember exactly when this happened, but I do remember that Carmen sent me a picture of what the boys were. Lovely.

Quick Pics

The office is coming along nicely! Abe may have had a few rough starts the day of sheet rocking, but soon they were finished!
We have enjoyed the sun and having friends over to play. But, I also have kind of hated all the warm weather we are getting because we have been praying for rain for so long! Being in a 4 year drought and having record highs is not a good combination!

The boys had their dentist appointments for the teeth sealants. With Sawyer it was a necessary procedure and with Crew it was a preventative step to avoid any possible bad dentist appointments that could occur with something more involved than a cleaning. Sawyer rocked it! He opened his mouth without complaint and listened to all instructions. Crew was a mess.
Two days ago they had their annual check up and they both received immunizations. Crew was still smarting over the experience and was reluctant about all the steps. We had to stop and take about 10 minutes while I listened to everything he was concerned about and we came up with solutions to all of them. Once he felt comfortable and everything was on his terms, he was much more cooperative. Phew. It took much patience on everyone's part!!

While Abe has been increasing his work, I have been getting breaks with my girlfriends when I can. One night after bunco we had a spontaneous movie night at my house. We tried to recruit more ladies in our group, buy they were busy with other plans.

6 Week Check Up

Abe has been done with his cast since the day he got it. The six weeks have definitely dragged by for all of us, for all different reasons. Today was the day that the dirty thing came off!!

They were not too impressed with the amount of swelling still present. She said it was because Abe has not given himself a break to let it heal. True.  He was also told his healing is okay but not good or where they would like to see it at this point. If only Abe knew how to work a 4 hour day instead of a 10 hour day! And let's just say, his not an ounce of weight on it rule wasn't followed all that great by about 3 weeks.

He is now in a ginormous walking boot. I can already see issues. . . .  Abe's personality is not meshing well with this injury and the instructions given for it to heal.  Poor guy had all of these goals and projects to accomplish through April, and now it has put a cramp in his style!

Crew drew his name, himself and Sawyer, and a dog. Pretty dang cute!

The boys were great helpers! It was a family affair today because we had a few errands to run after the appointment!

Let's Sell Sawyer

Sawyer and I were chatting and he informed me that Crew is his best friend! He has made this claim several times recently. About five minutes later Sawyer was pestering Crew and Crew had enough. Crew came up to me and said, "Mom, let's sell Sawyer." I giggled and then helped him determine some solutions to the problem.

Today we were wrestling and snuggling (it can get a little out of control) when Crew said again, "Mom, let's sell Sawyer." I responded, "That would make me very sad! Sawyer is my favorite three year old, ever!" We jested back and forth, and then I said, "If we sell Sawyer, then let's sell Crew!" Sawyer immediately pipes in and says, "Yay! And buy me back!!!"

I am pretty sure that the way my heart melted as they said, "I love you Mommy" during their final tuck in tonight, I could never part from them!!

Sawyer Can Ride

Sawyer has been able to play on a balance bike from the moment her could walk. He has gained a lot of confidence and ability on it! Today he requested that I come outside and help him ride the pedal bike. First try, he did it! By the end of the evening he could push off and start pedaling all on his own; although he still prefers to have both feet on the bike with me balancing it until he is ready to take off!
I really loved hearing Crew cheer on Sawyer and the immense amount of pride that radiated from them both!

Hay Office

Abe's hay business is keeping him very busy and he needed a place to have his employees stay warm or cool depending on the weather. His solution was to build an office. After a bit of research he decided to make it a portable office and began construction inside the shop. It worked out well and is turning out great! After it gets moved he will only need to finish the inside and paint the interior and exterior.
(note how Crew is hooked up to Sawyer with a bungee, and then Crew transfers it to Abe)
