Reno Aces

Today we went to the Reno Aces ball game. We had tickets from when the boys went and the game was rained out, and we were anticipating having seats. This was not the case. All seats were sold out and we were booted to the grass. Not a huge deal, but not what we anticipated. The boys were quite tired; Sawyer napped on the way up and Crew zoned out.

The game was not all that fantastic. Quite boring in fact. Minus the part where a bat flew into the audience and hit someone. At that point the crowd got ugly. It became a teachable moment on how one should and should not act. Adults included.

The kids had cotton candy for the first time ever. I had to bribe Crew for about 5 minutes just to taste it. He liked it.

I love doing things as a family and this night did not disappoint.

Laundry

Laundry, it happens! Today I sorted laundry outside while the boys swam. I then relaxed in my hammock between cycles. It worked out quite qell.

Good Morning Lake Tahoe

Good morning Lake Tahoe, and such a gorgeous one! We refueled with a hearty breakfast and some hot chocolate. After a quick clean up we hopped on our bikes for some trail riding.  There were some nice campers along the way that liked teasing the boys. It didn't take long for Sawyer legs to tucker out, and we headed back to camp. Right as we got back to camp, Sawyer's wheel fell off. All of the hardware on one side of the back tire was missing.  Talk about a needle in a hay stack, in a mountain!! Seriously.
I followed every section of the path that we took, twice. Then, the campers we had passed on the trial stopped me and asked if I was looking for something. She had the nut type piece! I then asked where she found it because there were some other pieces. She walks with me to the spot, on a dirt path, and finds another piece. I thank her profusely and we go back to camp. I found another piece! However, I was still short one piece.
Sawyer then committed to the pedal bike for the remainder of the day and rode any chance he had. He would zoom back and forth, over and over, saying, "Watch this!" every time!

I am so sad the pictures I took of Abe and Crew are out of focus, but it is still important to remember.

Next up we went to a favorite spot: Rainbow Trail. It was a lot of fun and adventure followed by bike riding and skid contest in the parking lot.

Another beach day that was gorgeous! Crew was more adventurous and was eventually down to his basketball short and in the water. He is a lot more modest about Sawyer. I had to convince him to take off his shirt so he would be warmer when he got wet. Crew would get in the water, and then come warm up in the sun warmed sand. It was a lot of fun to watch.

Of course the day at the beach ended with Abe covering the kids in sand.

The kids were so tired around the campfire. Sawyer even made a bed out of two camping chairs. When the sun set we had a fun dark ride back to our campsite. It was a little chilly, but a lot of fun!
