Race Day

Another one of our "mix it up" ideas was to participate in the local 5k. We were the Trent Tribe and we had all matching colored shirts. Crew ran and walked with Abe and I, Sawyer hung out with Grandma and Grandpa in the stroller, alternating with Dallin. April used my double get her two girls through the race. Jake ran alone and beat us all. Molly and Tyler pushed Liam. Overall it was a success that everyone seemed to enjoy!

One thing that cracked me up while running with Crew, was the fact that he hated having a shirt over his jacket. He couldn't stand it, and mentioned it several times. As soon as the race was over he was begging to have it taken off. Once the group picture was taken I agreed with his wishes.

Abe went back to bring Sawyer across the finish line with Grandma. As Sawyer was running he fell on the asphalt and it put a damper in his joy running across the finish line.

Pinata

Several weeks prior to Thanksgiving my Mom and I discussed changing up the traditional Thanksgiving week. We decided to have a Fiesta the day before Thanksgiving. This included a pinata and a Cafe Rio spread. It was exciting and a log of fun!

It was hilarious seeing all of these different personalities take a turn hitting the pinata. Oddly, Crew was the most aggressive, forceful, and focused! It was a whole knew side of Crew that I had never seen!!! The boys definitely were more into it than the girls!

Thanksgiving Week In Idaho

With the new speed limit, no road contruction, and one 5 minute gas break, we made it to Idaho in 8 hours and 10 minutes. Fabulous!! The next morning Jake and April arrived with their family in tow. They knocked on the door at 9 am! They would have been there even sooner had they not hit a deer 15 minutes into their drive. (They had to turn around and change cars)

On our first evening together Jake discovered a lady bug on him. This little lady bug seemed to always find someone to land on instead of staying on the flowering plant that is his home.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

I think it's great that our small town has some artsy stuff. We decided to attend Seven Brides for Seven Brothers as a family. It was a little long (3 hours) but very enjoyable. The boys did well until about the last 30 minutes when they were very tired and ready for bed!

Girls Weekend

Last month I was chatting with some gals, and we decided a girls weekend was in order. I planned, booked, and coordinated a gathering for ten of us. Friday afternoon eight of us met up at the temple for a session. It was fabulous! Soon after we headed to BJ's for dinner. The other two ladies were able to meet up with us as well!

Dinner was full of chatter and fun. We hardly even noticed how slow is took for our food to come! After quite the dinner party we said goodbye to three in our group (family and church obligations the next day) and we headed to our hotel.

First comfy clothes, then pampering, nails, and laughter soon ensued! The night zoomed past us, and soon it was 3 am! After a quick (quiet) pillow fight, and a picture to document the craziness, we decided to call it a night. But, between a call from the desk (the lady below us claimed we were moving furniture?!), and fits of giggles from Marie, I think I finally fell asleep around 4.

Somehow I woke up at 7! I thought I would get a little more sleep, but apparently not. Everyone else seemed to be in the same boat and we were soon ready for breakfast.

Breakfast wasn't fabulous, but that's okay. We primped and headed out for a day of shopping and fun. It was so much fun and well deserved for everyone to get together!

Happy Birthday

I had a pretty great day. I did regular morning routine and had a good time with my littles. We even ran a couple errands. Sawyer put my heels on when I told him to get shoes on and stand by the door. At two we went to the Oyler's. The kids played while Marie and I chatted away. Finally they needed to go outside. I did not bring jackets and it was starting to get cool. Sawyer was privileged to wear a beautiful white cardigan.

I headed home and got ready at the time Abe had set for the family to be ready. We quickly ended up at the Gardner's for a surprise dinner and party. It was fabulous!! I loved chatting the night away! Abe brought ice cream cake and gave me a card.

It was a great day!

Haircuts

This hair is getting out of control! It was time for a cut. Crew wasn't too please by the situation. Sawyer was a goof!! But in the end everyone was happy. Even Crew requested an "after" picture on his nicely made bed.
