Christmas

Christmas morning everyone was itching to go! Of course my boys were the last to wake up and everyone was waiting on us. We quickly fed our kids some bananas and oatmeal before the big reveal.  There was dancing, singing, and running around the gift "tree." Everyone took turns and reveled in what the other person was gifted.

Sawyer's gifts: masks, a real pocket tool, bungee cords, play tools, and a bruder toy (from grandparents).
Crew's gifts: lego book, a huge lego set, and a bruder plow attachment (from grandparents).

All of the kids gifted my parents a digital copy of the vhs tapes we could find. Later we found out that not all of them were out. But they were thrilled and loved the gift. We all enjoyed watching old videos throughout the day!

We had sister missionaries join us for our Christmas lunch. They were hilarious and a good addition to the festivities.

We had to try and sneak Mackenzie into the cousin picture since she didn't want to be in it.

The boys loved their simple gifts of candy, gum, braclets, and t-shirts that were stuffed into their stocking. Neither were very excited about the movies!?

It was too cute to see Mackenzie's gift to Jake. She made him a video game just like he used to make when he was small. Adorable!

Idaho Snow

We spent four hours outside playing, piling, licking, shoveling, and loving the snow that Idaho has! My boys were completely smitten with their first real snow experience.

Christmas Eve

My Mom planned a fun evening with the Nativity story, songs, and bingo. I grew up playing bingo during Christmas parties at my Grandma's. It's good to see the tradition carried on!

It was adorable to watch Alaura sing the chorus to "Angels We Have Heard On High." She sings with full gusto and in was heart warming!

Liam had some reindeer food that he tossed in the snow, we placed out cookies and carrots, and made sure to dog pile Anne before calling it a night.

Christmas Tree Magic

Tonight the boys slept under the tree. It took awhile to calm down, but they loved it!!

Bits of December Randomness

Sawyer is pretty good at making his own peanut butter sandwich. He was thrilled to have this sandwich with jam on the inside and outside and he had to immediately show me.

For ABC school we got together at Heather's and made some crafts and some cookies. Sawyer enjoyed it.

I had to restrain myself from laughing out loud when Crew showed me what he was working on in church. "I love to work with my Dad even if he is naughty! the end" "Name: Crew!"  There are so many things that I love about this. At school he marks all of his papers with "Crew!" He wants to make sure you say his name with enthusiasm!

Movie Night by the tree

Lots of homemade toffee for gifts.
