A Full Day of Fun

Today we have been so busy!! It started off with some outdoor fun, followed by ice cream, swimming lessons, and hiking the Y in Provo.

We rode our bikes to a local dairy and had some tasty ice cream. Next up were swim lessons. Crew became a master at negotiating what he would do for his swim lessons. Hopefully tomorrow will go better. Sawyer did not want to be instructed, but jumped in where he couldn't reach. After a slight break we all scrambled into BYU gear and loaded up to head to Provo.

Camille had planned on hiking with some family friends and I am so glad we were able to join. Sawyer was whining about .001 miles into the trek up the hill. Thank goodness I had thrown my ergo on just in case. I think it's safe to say that I carried him up most of the hill and down a good amount of it as well. He was not feeling it! Crew did much better. He became buds with Camille on the way up as I dealt with Sawyer continuous whines. Once Sawyer was comfortably on my back with a snack in hand, he did alright. I am glad that I have been going up Rattle Snake hill so I was somewhat conditioned for the hike. Carrying 50 extra pounds made the challenge even better.

I was under the impression that we were supposed to get to the Y to see the sunset, but everyone else in the group was ready to head back. While everyone was taking cute pictures I was struggling to keep Sawyer from melting down over his spilled gold fish, and tripping on rocks. He was tired!!! We did get a moment or two that he quickly decided to take some muscle pictures. Only by flexing our muscles could I get anything to resemble happy. On the way down he maybe walked .02 miles before he said it hurt his belly to walk down. It wasn't worth the whining, so on my back he went. I then was rewarded with some lovely happy songs in my ear!

Crew happily trekked on. He loved the beautiful scenery and seemed to enjoy the hike.

Camille wanted to snap some sunset pictures so we took the path nice and easy, capturing moments along the way. It was very beautiful and very nice.

When we reached the bottom Sawyer told me he was uncomfortable due to my sweaty back. Sorry about that bud, didn't mean to make life rough. Next up we hit a snow shack and that is where the final melt down finale happened. I had succeeded at keeping it at bay for the evening, but it came in full blows when Crew refused to let Sawyer put his arm around him. With many tears, wailing, and gnashing of teeth, I said my goodbyes to everyone and headed home. I think the screaming lasted another 30 seconds before he zonked out. Whew, what a day. I enjoyed it. Sore knees (and ears) and all!

The rest of these pictures are Camilles. I think they are awesome!
