Today we went up to the orthopedic and received a hard cast. Sawyer was super nervous about having his splint taken off and his leg moved, but he did awesome! We had told Sawyer he would get to choose his color of cast, but they only had blue in all the size of wraps he would need. So blue it was.
The cast has helped bring his muscles and bones the comfort he needs to keep the muscle spasms at bay and to help him feel safe while using his crutches. Thankfully I had ordered a pair of pants recently that I initially really didn't like. But, they ended up being such a blessing because they were baggy enough to fit over his cast!
