Cast Removal

Huge day for this guy right here! He got his cast off, but still will use his crutches for 2-3 more weeks as he transitions from no weight to weight bearing.  He was so flaky and we left quite the trail where ever we went. When we got home he had a much deserved soak and exfoliation!

Sawyer has been battling contagium mollescum (mostly on his legs) since the beginning of the year. We have been actively treating it for the last couple of months to keep it from spreading and further. His cast helped in covering and preventing any on his leg from being rubbed and spreading, but it left pretty big scars/scabs in many places. But, I think we are nearly done with it and hopefully it stays far away!

His leg was so skinny and and Sawyer just started giggling as he tried to move it. He said, "It feels like my leg is sucking in." How wonderful it must have been for him to bend his knee for the first time in two months!
