Camping Twin Lakes: Day 3

While picking up camp the boys rode bikes around. Crew is working on pushing off and starting on his own. He can pedal all day long on flat cement but the bumpy terrain adds a bit more of a challenge. He did love riding his balance bike all around the night before (hour plus) and pretending it was a motorcycle; sound affects included. Sawyer does rather well for a one year old on the balance bike! He will put all of his weight on the seat as he pushes around.

Family portrait? Ha!

After checking out of our campsite we decided to get a little kayaking in. Sawyer is a fan. Crew has to be bribed. I think this summer he got a little freaked out on the water and he hasn't been the same about it since.

Sawyer was having fun wading in the water until he tripped!
We quickly put him in with Abe and he stopped crying.
Crew and I hung out on shore until he warmed up to the idea of going in the kayak.

Sawyer hanging out of the boat to touch the water.
All four of us got in and paddled around the lake an enjoyed a little picnic out on the water. The boys were then tired and ready to go home.

It was a fabulous camping trip! I loved that we got rained on, enjoyed the loud thunder, had smoke free skies, had no cell service, got dirty, made memories, and made our boys happy!
